The Start of Sooci

I’ve always had the vision of creating a clothing brand that inspires people and brings together those with drive and passion. At 18, I launched my first brand. To be honest, it didn’t go as planned. With no real experience in design, marketing, or networking, all I managed to make were stickers and T-shirts.

Through countless revisions, new ideas, lots of help from others, and multiple rebrands the mission finally came to life with Sooci. At 20 years old in 2024 I started Sooci in the closet of my Marine Corps barracks in North Carolina. With just a few thousand dollars and the help of close friends, we launched—shipping orders out of that same closet and shooting our first photos in rented Airbnb living rooms.

As more people discovered the brand, I realized how many shared the same passions and values that fueled Sooci. With time, we learned the ins and outs of manufacturing, design, and marketing, and the brand steadily grew.

Today, Sooci has moved to Madison, Wisconsin, where our mission continues: to connect people, inspire creativity, and give anyone with passion the space to express it.

The Future For Us

This is just the beginning. The brand started small, but the mission has always been big — and the future is about growth, connection, and community.

I see this brand becoming more than just apparel. I see it becoming a platform for people to share their passions, no matter what they are. I want to promote and celebrate people chasing what makes them come alive.

As we grow, I plan to host events throughout the year — a chance to connect face-to-face and meet others who share the same drive.

This brand started in a closet, but the future is wide open. And we’re just getting started.
